It was a tough day out for our Fairfield-Liverpool 3rd, who were outplayed by Blacktown 3rd on a day to learn from.
After batting first, we finished on 109 from 37.4 overs. Alex Lauchlan was the pick of our batters with 38 off 81 balls. Brett Newman weighed in with 20 off 34 balls. Susrith Vasamsetti was the best of Blacktown 3rd's bowlers, finishing with three for 31.
The hosts knocked off the runs, finishing on 1/110 in 28.5 overs. Kieran Mills was the top scorer for our opponents with 49.
The hosts were simply too good on the day. It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around.
Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
