It was a disappointing outing for our Fairfield-Liverpool 2nd, who couldn't get past Eastern Suburbs 2nd on a day to learn from.
With the bat first up, we compiled 3/155 from 20 overs. Jake Langdon posted a half-century, making 74 not out off 48 balls with one four and seven sixes. Riley Collison added a useful 30 off 30 balls.
In reply, Eastern Suburbs 2nd passed our total, finishing on 5/157 in 19.2 overs. Zachary Haddin batted well for our opponents, making 48 off 43 balls. Hayden Tipping was the pick of our bowlers with three for 27.
Credit to the hosts, who played well.
The team will be keen to turn things around after two straight losses. The group will be keen to bounce back.
