There was no joy for our Fairfield-Liverpool 3rd, who were undone by Western Suburbs 3rd on a tough day.
Batting first, Western Suburbs 3rd posted 4/279 from 50 overs. Credit to Tharun Sai Mahendraprabhu Jayasri, who made a century (111) for our opponents. The visitors' best was a half-century from Liam Sparke, who made 99 not out.
In reply, the team were all out for 105 in 29 overs. Rohit Nair led the way with 21 off 42 balls with two fours.
On the ladder, we're sitting 19th.
The group will be eager to put this one behind them against Manly Warringah 3rd next Saturday.
