In the T20 competition, our Fairfield-Liverpool Men's Kingsgrove Sports T20 were unable to stop Western Suburbs in one to put behind us.
With the bat first up, we compiled 10/117 from 17.3 overs. Leading the way was Nick Carruthers with 28 off 20 balls. Yash Deshmukh weighed in with 22 off 19 balls. Western Suburbs' best with the ball was Tom Brooks (three for 17).
Our opponents reached the target at 2/118 in 11.4 overs. Credit to Harjas Singh, who made a half-century (61) for the hosts.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. Chins up, everyone.
