It was an excellent day for our Fairfield-Liverpool T20, who emerged victorious against St George in Kingsgrove Sports T20 Cup & Kingsgrove Sports Poidevin-Gray Shield action.
Our bowlers restricted St George to 5/179 from 20 overs. Luke Bartier posted 68 for our opponents, a good fifty. Credit to Sam Heazlett, who made a half-century (60) for the hosts.
In reply, the side reached the target at 4/180 in 18.3 overs. Nick Carruthers posted a half-century, making 59 off 44 balls with six fours and one six. Luke Ohrynowsky's 55 not out off 24 balls was a half-century to remember. There were also handy runs from Jaydyn Simmons (47).
That's back-to-back wins for the boys. Great work, everyone.
