The Fairfield-Liverpool Poidevin-Gray Shield fell short against Sutherland in the T20 competition.
We posted 10/162, and Sutherland 9/235. Lucas Sheehy passed fifty for the hosts, finishing with 52. Yuva Nishchay was the pick of our bowlers with four for 46. Yash Singh also took three for 41. Nishchay sent down a maiden, no mean feat in a T20.
Luke Meek posted a half-century, making 75 off 81 balls with four fours and four sixes. Ahan Vinod also got among the runs with 39 off 71 balls. Credit to Lachlan M Ritchie, who claimed a five-wicket haul (five for 30) for our opponents.
It's three defeats on the trot, and the team will be eager to bounce back. On to the next one.
