It wasn't to be for our Fairfield-Liverpool CC, who were unable to get the better of Blacktown with lessons to take away.
It finished 10/189 to 5/191. Blacktown's best with the bat was Arnav Kandari, who made 46. Aryavv Kaushik picked up two for 19 off ten overs. Dawaninder Singh bowled nicely for two for 34.
Singh brought up a classy half-century, finishing with 57 off 68 balls. Partha Vijendra weighed in with 30 off 51 balls. Akhil Sharma Nemalladhinne was the main threat for the hosts, taking three for 37.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.
The side will be keen to turn things around after two straight losses. The team will be keen to bounce back.
