Our Fairfield-Liverpool 5th had to settle for a loss as they were beaten by Western Suburbs 5th on a frustrating day.
With the bat first up, we compiled 63 from 21.5 overs. Mohammad Shariat bowled well for Western Suburbs 5th, a six-wicket haul of six for 14.
In reply, the visitors passed our total, finishing on 6/64 in 16.1 overs. Alexander Gomez led the way with the ball, finishing with three for 6.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
The group are tenth on the ladder. Manly Warringah 5th are next on the fixture list, next Saturday.
