On Saturday at Rosedale Oval, our Fairfield-Liverpool 5th overcame Eastern Suburbs 5th with a fine team effort.
Our totals were 10/121, against Eastern Suburbs 5th's 10/90. Saqlain Haider batted well for 37 off 128 balls with three fours. Jarrad Burke provided good support with 32. Guneet Kalra bowled impressively for our opponents, a six-wicket haul of six for 16.
With the ball, Patrick Lawrence did the damage, claiming three for 19 off ten overs. Chris Lawrence bowled well for two for 16.
Contributions came from right through the line-up. We've now got the better of three sides in a row. Revenge, of sorts: the visitors had won our previous meeting this season.
Well played, all.
