Saturday didn't go our way, as our Fairfield-Liverpool 4th had to give best to Parramatta Fourth Grade in a tough outing.
We posted 140 and 3/62, while Parramatta Fourth Grade made 5/205. Bradley Clare top-scored with 47. Mitchell Drinkwater carried on to an unbeaten 38. Rory Grieve returned four for 21 for our opponents. Leon Cooray added three for 22 for the hosts.
Brendon Orr grabbed two for 28. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Oliver Sheekey, who made 60. Credit to Akash Arnold, who made a half-century (55) for the hosts.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. That's three losses in a row, but the side will keep working hard. The team will be keen to bounce back.
