Our Fairfield-Liverpool 4th came unstuck as they fell short against Eastern Suburbs 4th on a day that didn't go our way.
The scorecard reads Fairfield-Liverpool 4th 10/102 and 10/57, Eastern Suburbs 4th 4/246. Shaun Bridges finished 40 not out off 114 balls. A five-wicket haul to Ben van Emden for our opponents (five for 12).
Our best with the ball was Cooper Clare, who took two for 17. Credit to Tom Marchant, who made a century (102) for the visitors. Oliver Maxwell made a classy 56 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. That's two losses in a row, but the group will keep working hard.
Chins up, everyone.
