It was a tough day out for our Fairfield-Liverpool 2nd, who were downed by Sutherland 2nd at Sutherland Oval 1 in NSW Premier Cricket (Men's).
Batting first, Sutherland 2nd posted 8/126 from 20 overs. Nicholas Amos led the way for the hosts with 32 off 30 balls. The wickets were shared around, with Zakary Graham taking three for 25. Thomas Copestake weighed in with two for 15 off four overs.
Our chase ended at 69 from 18.3 overs. Brent Atherton batted well for 20 off 31 balls. Lachlan M Ritchie was the best of our opponents' bowlers, finishing with four for 8.
There were some polished individual efforts to build on.
Credit to the hosts, and well played.
